Rematch between Dyersburg and Haywood, winner advances to semi finals.

It is hard to beat a good team twice, and Haywood is a good team.  Add to that Dyersburg being down 3 starting running backs, which has resulted in freshmen filling in.

Good luck Dyersburg......

Is the big senior stud RB for Dyersburg injured now too?

Davion Henderson, who was the “stud” and starting running back in the stable, went out after the Haywood game.  Since that loss, Dyersburg lost two other running backs.

Dyersburg is fine at running back. The “stud” is not hurt. He usually only carries the ball 5 or 6 times a game because we still have 3 RBs other than him. He is starting LB and leader on defense. The two that we have lost to injuries have left us thin at LB.

Well, guess can’t keep a secret for long......

I doubt there is gonna be much smack talk. Everyone knows this is gonna be a good one.

Anything can happen in HS football but imo the winner of this one goes to Cookeville.

Thought the same thing last year and Springfield had other ideas

offensively, these are the 2 best teams in the west

defensively, that was south side

At least the winner here gets to host the semis

both games Friday night should be quite a battle

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
