Hey better listen. They beat Peabody!!! If you don’t believe me just ask him. Hahahaha. To easy. Sorry pioneer.

And I don't understand his reasoning because we scored every 3rd or 4th play in that scrimmage and Gibson score once the whole scrimmage. Even with the Swiss cheese d we ran then!

GC Pioneer trying to be General 2.0. You see what that got him.

But go ahead and waste your time posting on this thread, the highlight of your season was beating Peabody.

We really don’t care what you have to say. Unless you want to break down the GC Peabody game. Otherwise your blowing smoke. You know nothing of Waverly other than we smoked y’all in a preseason match up and ran our 2nds 3rds and freshman against you the majority of the evening.

Waverly folk respect the Peabody folk. These are two good teams. Excited to see how this one goes.

GC feel free to tell us how Basketball is going.

I will be out of town next weekend, and most weekends until the first of the year with basketball season rolling now...

Ask around to some Gibson County people as to who I am and we will meet up somewhere along the way... it’s no secret around here who I am if they get on coacht.

As for the Waverly and Gibson scrimmage, we literally just hired a new defensive coordinator a week or 2 before that scrimmage. I’m not making any excuses on that as Waverly did look good offensively.

We also moved the ball pretty well on your defense in that scrimmage despite not scoring all of the touchdowns. We fumbled the ball several times as well.

    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
