12AA, I think wolfchase is ok to something with his theories of special teams and field position being an important part of the game.  I don’t necessarily share his enthusiasm about Fairview’s players but that’s neither here nor there.

I am just waiting for him to throw in the annexation of Puerto Rico.

In all seriousness, he acts like Stratford has no idea how bad their special teams are, the reality is inner city schools do not have the specialist to be successful consistently on special teams. Lack of kickers and long snappers are detrimental. Pretty sure if their coach had a kicker he would put him out there.

If he would have done his research he would know the Stratford HC took over midway through the season so expanding the playbook is not a big option at this point. I appreciate the Stratford students as we played them twice and both were physical battles.

I'm seeing 100% chance of rain from 6-9pm. I think all these score totals are too high except possibly Joyce. I'm thinking more like a 16-12 type game.

Local TV forecast predicted 0.32" of rain in the Friday / Saturday timeframe. That may mean pretty light showers during the 2 hours of the game. I still plan to wear my full rain gear, though.

Happy Thanksgiving Football people, that's really what's it's all about, Thanks & Gratitude, serving others, our neighbors, friends & enemies and of course our creator & genesis of all beings & things Jesus Christ. It's ultimately not about W's or L's, tfl's or completion %, oops (what was his name? 12aa) :D don't wanna go over his head.

Anyway to step away from the banter & analysis for a minute "Happy Thanksgiving to All Win Lose or Draw"

I'll get back to the analysis soon(only compelled to do it during Playoff Football so about a 2-3 weeks max)

Happy thanksgiving everyone!  I know I don't really have a dog in the race, but I have picked against Stratford twice in a row now and have been burned. Their playing great football at the right time.  I'm not really sure about this game, although I think Stratford is a mission and it's going to be tough to stop their momentum.  I think the Chargers are on a mission as well and it sounds like they are solid and balanced all around!  This should be one heck of a game!   Best of luck to both teams and a injury free game!

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
