Yep it’s true. Most people just don’t know how open zoning works and don’t take the time to read their own school districts policies before they post.

That’s why THEIR programs never succeed. Too lazy to put in the work to get it right. :thumb:

Hamilton Co does have open zoning. Look at school board policy 6.204 under the “students” section of the online board policy. It outlines how they must make application and the tuition they must pay. Very much open zone like most other districts in TN. 

Does Alcoa pay tuition? No, because they have open zoning. The lower income families would still be forced to play in their “zone.”
