That game last night had a very strange vibe to it,I don't know if leaper, would have made that much of a difference, but he would have made some difference he's too good of a player not to.i do have a question about the Dogz, now do keep in mind I don't watch a lot of high school ball mainly watch jr high what kind of offence does the Dogz run because all I saw last night was launch 3 after 3 very little drive and dish or a lot of movement, the 3 ball is great if it's going in but if you have an off night it can get you beat

Leaper is a 15 to 20 point swing.  I never expected to beat htown or uh with the current powers that be but we're too talented to just be blown out.  Old king is gonna be about girls ball the next few years. We're going for gold tomorrow :o

According to the tmssa website both Hampton middle boys and Cloudland middle girls finished as state runner ups! A fantastic season and firsts to both respective schools.  You made upper East Tennessee proud

You could tell those girls were heartbroken from the picture.  If you're second, you're last.  They'll remember this one.  We're gonna get a gold ball even if I have to break in the glass house at night and steal it!

Seems to me like the Jr Dogz, may have ran into a situation that the area high schools have faced for years,a private school or prep school, but still got a lot to be PROUD of this season as well as the Jr lady Landers great job by both, loved seeing the communities come together

The blue alliance is a very real thing.  The one big ugly elephant is the damage to the infrastructure of roan mountain.  The opposing teams who come here poor their money into our businesses.  But ms boone is determined to close it down

Who's gonna win district 1? Our 4 district 2 teams headed to the region are already set. This is the best 1-4 district 2 has been in as long as I can remember. Cosby , Hancock , and Greenback are all strong teams and Jellico has one kid who can hurt you and really carry his team if need be. I'm biased but I feel Cosby is the team to beat in District 2 once again. Early it looked like Hancock and Greenback may give us trouble even lost one to Greenback, but we have come on strong as of late. Should be a fun Region tourney!

Should be interesting to see these games tonight, IMO Hancock and Cosby can be 2 best in Region on any given night.

Cosby over Greenback by 20

Hancock over Jellico by 15

Think it will be close early in both, set up a classic Hancock/Cosby Final

I have a feeling we've learned from our failures the past couple weeks....I like our chances from here forward

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
