Stewart's Creek opening

I would like to see them promote David Barger from assistant to the head coaching position. He has 10+ successful years of head coaching experience. His wife is the basketball coach so he isn't going anywhere and he has a excellent football and coaching mind. He's a veteran coach that kids gravitate to and given a opportunity will have Stewarts Creek playing a new brand of exciting and winning football. Other coaches will like working for him because he's a team player...and cares!

I am hearing that Gary Rankin is coming back to Murfreesboro to take over the Rockvale program.  I was told that he already has a contract on a home in the Rockvale area.  This would make things quite interesting.

I am just going to sit back and watch this play out at BOTH SC and Rockvale.

Personally I do NOT see GR coming back to EITHER school.  If I was betting on him coming back to Middle Tn, I would bet on Warren County before ANY Rutherford County schools.

Current school superintendent would NOT put up with Rankin's recruiting like in the past.  Also Booster Club finances are watched MUCH more closely than the past.

There is WAY more to running a program today besides X's and O's.

Look towards Wayne County for the Rockvale coach. He has done well there. There is a current staff member in the hunt for the SC job and it's not Barger. This guy is much newer to the staff and has come from the East, but is not new to Rutherford county.

If you want to give new life into a program why would you hire within and still implement the same philosophies. SC hasn't been great on either side of the ball honestly . I think they should start brand new and go with someone on the outside

Bubba sounds correct about SC. Not sure about Rockvale though.

Had a really great Coach asking my opinion on this opening last week.   I think he's planning to apply.   If you land him, you'll see improvement quickly.   Can't say the name because current team doesn't know he's looking.

For myself I would love to see Steve Britton apply and get Rockvale and bringing Coach Scharse in as OC.

If nothing else it would make co-ordinating their fishing trips together easier.  LOL

Stewart’s Creek should take a look at a coach that’s taken his team to the state semifinals 2 of the last 3 years.  He’d be a great hire for Rockvale too if they were a possibility.
