Playoff crowds

With so much migration to Tennessee, especially middle Tennessee, realignment should occur every two years instead of four. Also, with 49 other states out there I'm sure many practical solutions to playoff attendance have already been addressed and solved. We don't have to come up with radical experiments just look around at other states and see what works for them.

Look at states with similar size like Alabama, Ky, Indiana etc.

Big difference is venues. Game fields of Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Tech.

The Alabama High School Athletic Association Super 7 State Football Championships are one of the most exciting and highly anticipated sporting events in the state. Each December, over the course of three days, the final two teams from each of Alabama’s seven classifications (1A through 7A) compete to be crowned as the new state champions. Each year, the event alternates between the two largest football facilities in the state, the University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium and Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium. In 2016, Jordan-Hare Stadium hosted a new total attendance record of 49,353 and the AHSAA looks to welcome another record crowd to the Auburn December 5 -7, 2018.

It wasn't an accident that I picked those states.  Excellent points.

Surely these venues aren’t better than Tennessee Tech?

Would have been nice to be INSIDE Lucas Oil Stadium during that cold wet windy weekend!

Looks like Alabama had just over 49,000 attend 7 championship games with tickets costing $15/ day in 2016 (last time they played at Jordan _hare) for an average of 7000 per game. be interesting to see Tennessee's totals.

Looks to be a problem dating back years ago! Here's a blast from the past!

I would think MTSU, Vanderbilt, or even Nissan stadium would be better. Nissan stadium would be a problem though as the Titans are still playing at the time as well as the Music city bowl. MTSU has done upgrades and is a very nice facility. Haven't been to Vandy in years so not sure what they have done. Murfreesboro is the geographic center of TN though and has grown leaps and bounds. If I am not mistaken, the basketball championships are there, so why not football?

Football is in Cookeville because they submitted the winning bid of $253,000.

I don't know what the attendance numbers were for Cookeville.  And TSSAA doesn't get anything from championship games ticket sales.

Beene Stadium should submit a winning bid of $120,000.
