Great game at TCA tonight.  TCA pulls out the win in the fourth.  They play much better when playing from behind.  Greenfield will have their hands full Sat.  Going to be a good one.  Only other thing I will say about the game is the refs made their presence way to known.  Terrible calls all night long.  Fortunately, they were equally bad for both teams.  Fantom walks,  tic tac fouls called and no calls on obvious fouls.  You gotta do better, zebras!

Agree with the fouls tonight. The old man was awful....

I went to Gleason-Peabody. Pretty much the story was Peabody's pressure was too much for Gleason. And aside from Anderson and Atkins (who is gonna be REALLY good as a senior) they didn't get much from the other 3 starters, also they had way too many turnovers. Peabody scored enough points (off those Gleason turnovers and a monster game from Kiera Hill, who is getting NO looks from the local colleges) to pull it out, despite almost blowing the game, missing free throws down the stretch. Peabody is gonna have to play much better offensively to have any shot of beating GC.

Thanks for the update. I thought Gleason played really well against Greenfield especially first half. I didn't see this coming at all. Great win for Peabody. They are a different breed with their defensive pressure.

They can defend with the best of them. Offensively, if they had 1 shooter who could knock down a few they would be scary good.

Played zone pretty much the entire way. Pressed when they got down (wish they would have used it more, because it was effective) and that's Peabody's other weakness besides shooting/no depth. They struggle against pressure and GC is gonna bring it.

Yeah Gleason played us really tough over at Martin in the Christmas Tournament and could have very easily won that game. Obviously the ball handling cost them tonight. Yeah it is very hard to beat a team that is pressing you and your not pressing back.

A good season for Gleason even though they come up short tonight. The good thing is that they only lose one senior in Shelbie Burton. So this team will reload and should get further in the postseason next year.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
