Still didn’t answer the question. What “average” team played them close? You know nothing about the teams they played from Alabama and can’t point to an average team that played them close. We play who we had to in the region. And if I remember correctly, Gibson Co beat Huntington by 5 during the year

Greenfield or Clarkrange are the favorites but to get on here and yap about things you know nothing about like your comment, is hilarious and insulting to the ladies at Loretto. Like someone said earlier, they beat last year’s runner up 4 out of 5 times they played this year. And with a roster that has one senior, Loretto will be a fixture in this thing for the next few years.

Summertown starts 4 sophs and a freshman!  Loretto and Summertown will be around for a long time.

Summertown and Loretta both real good teams and could win it all. I think the average team he is talking about is McKenzie because the way they played the regular season. But they got hot at the end and played well especially against Loretta. They would have played anyone good that night. Thought the Summertown win against Huntingdon was a good win. I was there and Huntingdon was a different animal when Fuller came back. Both of you guys will be around a while for sure. We know yow can play. Our distinct is not the best either and will get worse next year when TCA goes private. You can't help what District you play in.

Correct me if I am wrong but Loretta lost two of their starters.  I know one for sure.  I think if they had them, they WOULD be the favorite to win. I saw them play McKenzie and struggle with them.  They did not shoot well and IMO relied too heavily on the freshman phenom, and she is a phenom!  If she is off, and they play like they did against McKenzie, they may get beaten.  That being said, they pass the eye test for sure.  Every girl looks like they can ball!  I thought they would manhandle McKenzie based on how the two looked in warmups, but they proved otherwise in the game.  However, if they all show up aggressive and don’t leave every possession up to the freshman, they have potential to win it all, this year and for a few to come.

I think Single A is wide open. Going to be interesting as all have a shot at the Gold. I hope GC plays like they did at our Christmas Tournament and the way we played Westview at home and against TCA in the District Championship.Thought we played better offensive second half of MBA.

You want to know the truth about it, Huntingdon would have been very dangerous up here with Fuller back. That was a big win for Summertown. Huntingdon got a ton better as year went on.

Toughest draw was Clarkrange - Greenfield. Clarkrange is best team I have seen play this year. They are superfast with the Monday twins and everybody on the team can shoot lights out. I dont think any other teams bench runs as deep as theirs. If Greenfield controls the tempo they could win but of they try to run with them it will be another story.

We played them this summer and they relied in the three with penetration and kick outs. Didn't have a lot of post action against us. We had a couple of girls out that week and they beat us by 10 or so.. They beat Macon as well I think and either beat Riverdale or played them close. Riverdale only beat us by 6. But that was summer ball and little different but you could tell they had talent. They will turn the ball over some and create some TO's. Difference in our summer game was they hit four more threes than us.

Seen yalls game with them at MTSU and several of their games through the season. Totally different beast when season started. If anybody is game planning them based on summerball they will get a rude awakening. There isnt a team in that division with a bench as deep as theirs.

I just said we played them and they are good no doubt. We got Summertown to worry about now. Not worrying about game planning them now. I will assure you of this. There is two ways to look at this. Your view is basically Greenfield got a bad draw. I see that. But Clarkrange also got a bad draw too.

Have'nt seen Clarkrange so just going on word of mouth and reputation for this season, but I have seen Greenfield on a number of occasions. If anyone can control tempo of the game it will be Greenfield, with also my opinion the best point guard in the State,  against I think any of the opponents. I agree Clarkrange got a bad draw and that's taking nothing away from Clarkrange.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
