If East Nashville is going to beat Pearl-Cohn this is the year that they better do it because PC will be playing a lot of underclassmen and in 2020 they’ll be very comparable to their 2017 team that in all probability should have won 3A according to many (until the second half of the Covington game in the semifinals).

Whats reasons have you heard as to why they may be closing?

They found a coach and hired with in the program. The new coach problem is getting kids to play football. When you only got about 25-30 kids and playing 3a ball with no real home field it's going to be hard.

So you mean the football program may fold and not the entire school?  The wording of your previous post kinda made it sound like the entire school may fold.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
