Remember LV beat JB last year! I not got to watch a Monterey game since my son Graduated. Just glad to hear they looking good. I will get to watch them play Bledsoe this year since they scheduled them! New Bledsoe Coach was the Monterey Coach my senior year!
croz6110
I expect Clay and Monterey to make some major noise in the region. I think they both will finish ahead of Jo Byrns. Choosing Gordonsville as the top team will be the popular vote, since they won the region last year. However, they definitely will be challenged by Clay and Monterey. I just thought with the better coaching and the young players Gordy has that will be even better than last season this region would be Gordonsville to lose. I know you'll have to replace a great RB but I consider you'll head and shoulders above the great of the region. My the way please give H2O a big L the first game this season the people of TC would really appreciate.
Sidelinehustler
Clay will be better by default with the addition of Mike Dickerson as DC.

They're freshman and sophomore classes are really good, and many of them started last year. I think it's all dependent, however, on the coaching. Monterey has a good coach, but the talent level is inconsistent. They only started one or two seniors last year, so they return everyone. I think they finish no lower than 2nd in the region this year. Outside of a couple of skill positions, Gordonsville really only returns the ones who put their hand on the ground last year. That's a good group to have back, but it's a "wait and see" on the other positions. Jo Byrns lost almost everything. I expect them to finish 4th, and I'm not really sure they'll challenge the other top 3 teams. RBS and Pickett...well, they're RBS and Pickett. Monterey has a good bunch of players about once every 6 years. Last good group was when they made the semi In I think 2014. Gordy will always be picked because they have always been consistent! As far as coaches I think Coach Hughes is as good as anyone in this Region! Edited July 30, 2019 by TALMAD
