Work to do! We looked alright against the run, but they killed us throwing the ball. They have some great weapons. I think we will be alright. O-line needs a little experience. Rosser and company will have them there by playoff time.

Got there late or would have looked for you. Great crowd last night and hated it had to end over an incoming storm miles away but safety comes first. Good game for both sides and both will know what to work on as the season approaches.

Great start! Want to see how Fulton and South Doyle look tonight before I say anything about next week's game at Fulton. Our lines will get better with experience as the season goes, but played well tonight against larger lines. Did a pretty good job of protecting Dakota, but it doesn't hurt to have a QB that can move around like he does. Also, #2 for Cleveland is a player, seemed like he was everywhere!

Central has a really good team. That QB is really good, very mobile and smart. Looks like a long year for Cleveland. Other than #2, we didn't look like a good football team. Good luck to Central the rest of the way.

Indeed it was a great start last night, but we still have a long way to go. We had too many dropped passes in the first half and Dakota got sacked more than I would’ve liked. But when he had time the passing game was great. Defense....well it was just that, our Defense :thumb:. Must continue to improve though, long road ahead.

The real question I have for Cleveland is, why did Paleilei number 33 not play any RB on offense. In all film I saw of them, he was by far their best RB in a very run oriented offense. It was very head scratching not to see him run at all. Robert Flowers Number 2 can play for y’all, he’s VERY good. Y’all will be ok... Just not against Maryville.

I'm not sure. Our best back, in my opinion, didnt play. I'm not sure how long he will be out or even why.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
