Not taking anything away from HC, I’m sure they must be good to beat Brentwood. Haywood loss was a head scratcher for Usual HC standards.

It definitely was but honestly going into the season most Patriot fans thought we would lose that game. I didnt expect to beat Brentwood or Germantown going into the season so we are way ahead of where I thought we would be! Defense has been playing really well. Offense has been solid as well. Gallatin concerns me at this point more than Beech. We know what Beech is about but Gallatin looks to be a monster so far! A lot of those questions will be answered in the next couple of weeks about them.

I'm looking at things as an outsider... How is Gallatin not the #1 team in 5A?  Their defense appears to be #1 by a mile.  Wonder why they are not getting the respect?  Is Beech that much better than Gallatin?  - Pardon my ignorance concerning middle Tennessee football.

I think there is apprehension towards Gallatin because it's been a long time since they've been playing at a championship level. Middle Tennessee has 4 pretty solid options this year with Beech, Gallatin, Page & Summit so whoever makes it to the semis will have been through the ringer

Gallatin's defense is elite, no doubt. However I don't think they've faced a really good offense yet, at least not as some of the teams in East TN

Haywood is one of the best teams in 4A and a team that has given HC a pretty tough time as of late

Yeah maybe, but Haywood is usually a win for HC. Nothing out of the ordinary for Haywood, same athletes, same results other than that matchup with HC.

They've only played 2 times prior in the CoachT Era, a 3pt win by HC last year and  a 2 pt win by Haywood in 2017

Usually as in, should be a win. Not worded right. Not that they play annually. Haywood is consistently a 3-5 loss team. Coaching might be the problem there? Not sure.

True but they usually play a tough schedule, which has paid off the last 2 years going to the semis in 2017 and the title game in 2018
