I have personally read or heard things such as:

”the Gallatin of old”

”Gallatin of the 80s”

Thinking they’re favored or expected to win every game.

I’m sure there are others, but you see the point. Come on guys, you beat Lebanon and Station Camp. I mean how many playoff appearances do they have between them in the last decade?

Before Crabtree got to Beech,  they were the whipping dogs of the county.  Things sure turned around for them.  Have you seen them play since the new hire?  I will give you Station Camp but Lebanon is a lot better than you think no matter the outcome tonight.  By the way, Beech sure has been down played this season compared to what we heard at the end of last year and all off season.  Just give you guys the championship and let’s not play any games then.

We have every right to be excited right now.

Excited? Yes.

Resurrected? Not yet.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
