BeachHound
He coached 1 year there, was a position coach and middle school coach before that. He had his hat in the ring for every head coaching opening this off season. He was turned down by Clarksville NE.

He is a former Army guy who is BIG on discipline. Sounds to me he’s exactly what Clinton needs at this point imo. They were a primary Shotgun offense with some pistol looks. Keith was also the teams DC Our community is a very political place unfortunately. Hopefully folks allow him to coach and not run him off the first time he upsets the wrong kid/parent. oridgecat
Gotta be careful with the disciplinarian approach. That works when a team has an established record of success because everybody wants to be a part of a winner. Not so much when the ceiling is 3 wins per year. I wish the guy good luck. it is more fun when Clinton is good. Edited December 17, 2019 by oridgecat

Our AD is a pushover as well which doesn’t help the cause. He tries to satisfy the parents it seems .
BeachHound
Honestly, this one is puzzling. They passed over qualified, proven applicants to hire a guy from a lower tier 2A school in Western KY. The teams he beat last season were a combined 7-57! He was a position coach for a couple years before that and coached middle school. Best of luck!

Not good at all If we passed up Ellison and Lane for this guy.

BeachHound
Look them up on unapproved website (the nation's most popular high school sports site) Maximum Preparatory Athletics and on hudl for some video... almost anyone in the greater Knoxville area. Lane among them. Edited December 17, 2019 by BeachHound
DLopez
I am pretty sure that the 8th grade son of the new hire was another reason why. He is highly thought of I’ve heard.
