I'm sure ya'll skillet-lickers are chomping at the bit to see us down the road!  Do you want history to repeat itself?

Lots of ball yet to play tho'.  And considering no one has been able to score more than 7 in a game against you, SoPi has the inside track to finish out.  Defense is King!  Good luck against the Hornets.  Game will be over by 7:45 p.m.

The game with you was not over by 745 so you might not want any of South Pitt down the road.

I have a difficult time believing that the Fayetteville team we had at 35-0 in the first quarter last year is all of  a sudden a state contender. I think they will win this weel. But South Pitt/Greenback? No way.

What a difference a year makes!  But I wouldn't get all giddy about making any kind of noise in the post-season.  We haven't put together a solid, 4 quarter performance yet.  Maybe this Friday will be the start.  Performance, individual or as a team, doesn't mean or do anything if spirit-crushing plays get called back for penalties and allow your opponent to maintain hope of success.  Here's to the Tigers crushing all the Raider's hopes, early, and often.

South Pittsburg has been a power for quite a few years, and Fayetteville is 4-0 after a 1-9 season, so there is a lot of season left for a few stumbles. So, you're probably correct there. However, the fact that they have righted the course so quickly is a tribute to the talent and the current coaching staff. There's little doubt in my mind that Fayetteville is a program to watch in the years to come.

They are for real, many athletes that did not play for former coach and a few transfers.  They get after it and play hard nosed defense.

Our seniors bested them in middle school but their 9th, 10th, and 11th graders went 5-0 vs the middle school Rockets. They are a loaded 1A team if all those players are still in the program.

Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse.  Lol.  I was acknowledging your link to ya'lls game.  Now I'm thinking we can put 28 on the boys in two-toned blue.

There is word going around that the T$$aa is finishing up an investigation and they are about hammer Fayetteville for recruiting and illegal players.

Open County enrollment for schools like Fayetteville City & South Pittsburg is not considered illegal according to the TSSAA. But I would consider it to be a unfair advantage (parents want there kids to play on a winning team) To me the thing to do would be that schools with open enrollment would have to move up one class in sports like 1A to 2A.

If only.  Some of those kiddos went across the river because their parents wanted them in a "bigger" program.  I always hear of our kids being approached to go play for the big school, either by their friends who go there or by coaches.
