BATTLE OF EMORY RD | POWELL (5-0) vs HALLS (5-0)

What is everyone's thoughts on this rivalry game, and battle of 2 unbeaten s.  Game is at Halls HS.  Will that make a difference at all in the out come of the game?

I think your right.   But you know how rivalry games go.  No matter the records or stats, usually are pretty good games.  With that being said Powell did beat them last year 35-0 lol

That's pretty much me.  Take the rivalry aspect out and Powell wins easily.  But you can't discount that factor.  

I think depth will be the biggest difference.  Powell seems to be playing less guys both ways, and especially the big guys up front.  

Matt Lowe and Scott Cummings had some real battles during playoff games when Scott was at West.  Don't think they are exactly on each other's Christmas card lists.  

Good to see this rivalry mean something again to both sides.   It's been one sided - either way at times - for too long, now.

That is a great storyline to this game. I'm sure Cummings would love to finally get one against Matt Lowe.

Ya after thinking about it some more, I think Powell wins pretty easily.  Watched the replay of Carter vs Halls, and Halls did not look good, and should of lost that game if it wasn't for the Carter coaches messing it up at the end of the game.  Halls has no passing game what so ever.  Powell has way to many athletes and bigs for Halls to handle.

Did the good LB from Powell #44 get injured last week? I’ve been hearing some rumors of a ligament tear in the knee. Could totally be just rumors but I believe it to be true.
