IMO: anyone who is undefeated at this point in the season should be ranked higher than a one or two loss team.

TC being number one to me in the Sonny Moore poll s head scratching??? They’ve only played one tough opponent and ended up losing the game.... They for sure could end up finishing the season as number one, but right now they haven’t done enough to deserve that high of a ranking and should be below all the undefeated teams.

I agree, wouldn't say Tyners loss to Alcoa should drop them in a poll though. Probably 99.9% chance wed all have that loss if we played the same team. Other then thats yeah, it's not easy being 6-0 regardless of schedule South Greene has played hard this year for instance.

You are correct, especially given the fact that the team that beat their butts is down at #8. Maxipad Preps isn't much better.

There is no way on gods green earth Houston County should be ranked higher than Fairley or Tyner or Trousdale or Watertown or Lewis County I might have missed one but that dog won’t hunt!

Don’t know anything about Houston County other than they are undefeated.

Houston had 1 loss in 5 wins first part of their schedule last year then lost 3 of the remaining 4. This year they are a little better from what I can tell at least on paper. Also their schedule is alot easier toward the end of the season than it was last year. Waverly and Riverside are both down some from last year. This team although i dont think they are world beaters could actually go 8-2 or 10-0 just looking at their schedule. But i agree Vandy they are still probably a 11-15 ranked type of team type team not a top 10. They have had an easy schedule so far.

These last few games will challenge them up to the point of a loss maybe with Waverly and Riverside. Should be good games?

Yeah, it's all for fun. Something to talk about etc.

Somethings im a little slow, well most of the time. So please clarify for me are you saying SG has played a hard schedule or has just played hard.

I agree it's just fun to talk about, and we still get to have the playoffs.

SG has played a better then average schedule I'd say. Beat a 5A team which is pretty good. Just beat Chuckey Doak in a barn burner game. But I'm mostly saying they have played well this year. Their hardest region games are still to come yeah?

    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
    • during the 2nd round of the playoffs last year against Milan, Gray partially tore his meniscus. He had a minor repair around Thanksgiving. Recovery time was minimal and he has been full force for baseball this season.
    • What do ya’ll think the O/U will be? I would set the line at 2.5
    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
