Judging from this post you made two days ago you started complaining before you ever set foot in Kingsport. The DB press box is one of if not the nicest of any High School in the state. I'm not bragging but it's just a fact. And it should be. I know what that thing cost and I helped pay for it. If anything did happen concerning you and your little box of equipment I think you're blowing it out of proportion. You're looking for a reason to complain because you're a bitter old hag. Stay at home next time.

I didn't complain about anything prior to the game. Go back and read.

Also, I never said the press box wasn't nice. My issues were the fact that I was stopped and held up when I was in a race against the clock to get set up. At any other stadium, they let media through without any problems. Then the crew up in the box acted like it was an inconvenience for us to set up in an area clearly marked "visitor radio." These are facts.

The problem I see at D-B is that it is ran by and controlled by a bunch of douchebags and is a big reason it's well known for being a Band School instead of an athletic power it once was a long time ago. I remember a couple of years ago when we played D-B at Maryville and a bunch of their fans came over and sat on our side and the band played the theme from The Titanic and one of their fans ask what we thought of the band. I told them they couldn't have picked a better theme because they just hit the iceberg on Renfro Field and everyone will be dead in 24 minutes.

It's hard to argue with what you say. If you remember some of my post in the past 5-10 years I've said a few times the same thing. However it should be noted things are changing at DB and their changing quickly. The new AD is cleaning up the mess of the two previous ones and seems to be turning this ship (Titanic) around. About 75% of the "douchebags" are already gone. They've put together a really good coaching staff, I think the best we've had top to bottom. This years team wasn't even supposed to have a winning record according to most of the "experts". Heck I had them winning only two games. Now here they set at 9-2 and headed to round two. Their a young team and should be even better next year. No I'm not one of those that's going to say we're going be a challenge for Maryville. It's going to be hard to beat Bearden the way their playing right now.

You remind me of the Black Knight from Monty Python and The Holy Grail.

Okay this just went off the rails. I'm done with you. If you ever come back to Kingsport message me and I'll arrange for a limo to pick you up and have someone carry you to the press box.

I guess it is time for your shift at Pal's. Have a good day at work!

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
