Just my opinion, but I would hold him out one more week. We won't need him against Clay. Let him play next week to knock some rust off because we will need him against Greenback. With him back plus you know who finally ready opposite of Hubbard offense should look nice. It looks nice right now but just saying more dangerous.

I agree with what someone said above, if we are going to win it all this year it's because of our defense. I can't say enough about Coach Peek and the job he has done with our guys.

Who are you talking about? I heard we would possibly get one of our injured playmakers back this week but maybe have a couple more sitting out. I agree about the defense. It has been lights out. Coach Peek and the staff have done a great job so far. Now if we make it to Greenback that will be a different type of animal trying to stop since they are mostly a passing team.

Dang it, shut your pie holes!  And you too OP.  Y’all don’t know how to keep things quiet

I am very, very excited about the game this week. I just love the atmosphere at Beene Stadium. I was reading up about this Clay County team. This will be my first time to ever see them play. I understand we have some history with them in the playoffs. It will be a great night for football in South Pittsburg. I hope everyone has a great afternoon and makes it out on Friday.

PS - The potato soup I got from the concession stand the other night was hot diggity dawg great! Whoever made that deserves an award. I hope they make it again or even some taco soup would be good on these cold nights. You have one customer waiting either way!

Pirates should take care of business early in this game...starters should be riding the pine after halftime.  Same score as last week....48-6.

Uncle Dave you are as bad as Cherokee Tom and powerp.  You are going to make this Johnson man real mad. I drove by Griders field Monday and Tuesday at 3:30 and he was already finished with practice.  That means our boys only practiced 30 minutes.  You think im joking but im not.

Roy, I guarantee you I just left that Grider mans field and he had me running sprints on the track while the other boys were chasing chickens for making crazy predictions. You think I'm joking but I'm not.

Roy do you not keep up with the news??  Just because it didn’t snow in Jasper at Ronnie’s Red Eye doesn’t mean it didn’t snow in SP.  I’m pretty sure School was closed one of them days.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
