OK cool. Thanks nut.

I will buy a ticket and stand in the rain before I listen to Packer. lol.  I'm afraid that the rain and TV may put a hurtin on the size of the crowd.  which is a shame for a classic match up like this one. Maybe the rain will push on out of here by game time.  Never know here in E. TN.  Oh well, I'll be there.

English please.....lol  You said a mouth full.  First off kid in question is average player at best.  So for schools to go out of there way, like you are saying is ridiculous lol.  Bottom line is kid lives in Powell and was going to Alcoa.  Who paid what and drove what, to where, and so one makes no difference.  Player in question would be 4th string RB, and maybe 2nd string corner on this years Powell team.....so Powell in non shape or form would get involved with Alcoa, TSSAA, or attorneys about this kid that lives in Powell and is zoned for Powell.

You are intilted to your opinion.

They are attempting to reel in the recruiters.  There is an upcoming meeting called by the  Director of Schools/Superintendent with all the Knox County Principals and AD's to address the recruiting issue.  Agenda, if the TSSAA won't do anything about it, Knox County will have to do it themselves.  It  has become an embarrassing black eye for the Knox County System.  Who will do what to whom and how, nobody knows, but at least they are going to acknowledge and address the problem.

Agreed. KCS had the power to fix this all along, regardless of what TSSAA is/isn't doing. Let's just hope KCS steps up and actually does something about it.

In actuality, T$$AA uses the information from Knox County schools about eligibility, or moves from school to school to make decisions on eligibility. T$$AA does not have the man power or does not want to spend the money to chase down who is eligible. If a student is turned in on a schools eligibility list and no one challenges it, especially if Knox county says nothing, T$$AA just trust that information to declare everything is OK. T$$AA does not put alot into investigation. They rely on school systems to be truthful. If some other school administrator wants to challenge a T$$AA ruling, you better have some great information or be a very powerful person to influence them to investigate/change a ruling. Sometime it takes the courts to get involved. T$$AA does not just listen to annoymous communication or commoners when it comes to eligibility/policy decisions. It is Knox County Schools who has the sole responsibility to change/straighten this out.                   I don't think much will happen at this meeting. Parents that still want to move their children at will from school to school for what ever reason have the power to change school board membership and the school board can change who the superintendent is. Also if any  change up in Knox County Schools  policy effects or has the potential to effect negativity on the racial make up of schools then the Federal govt. and NAACP could also get involved. I think that Feds/NAACP/parents will have more power over coaches. Knox County doesn't really care much about sports. Just as long as Knox county produces a few competitive programs.
