Hey no offense but this is surprising to me. 2 Copper Basin kids on the team but only 3 SP. I also agree with another poster. I’ve never seen 4 QBs on an all state team. I am curious when the regular all state team you are talking about is released though.

No offense taken but both boys are very well deserving of the award. I agree with you more SP players should have been on the list. The big men up front deserve more love as well!

I personally think the SP QB and others were deserving.

Grabowski finished with 2k+ passing and Mickens is a 1k+ receiver. Hard to have the list without at least one of them, but I do see your point. Sanders played lights out too, just went a little under the radar because of that star-studded ground attack. The Tennessee Sports Writers Association is the "big list" but because they tend to be a little more critical, their team takes longer to compile. As far as I know, they only select 14 on each side of the ball. It should be released any day now, in fact I think the 4A-6A teams are already out.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
