JustABlueFan
This is on the school board meeting agenda tonight. Could turn into a doozy as emotions are running high. Usually they stream on the web site but I'd be surprised if this is.
JustABlueFan
Further, York coach would be a step down in my opinion. No disrespect to the guy. Leslie has done more than anything could do with what she's been given to work with.

repoman
So what is the "real" story here? Who's behind this and what is thier agenda? Edited March 10, 2020 by repoman Spell

Yes... that's what needs to be told... a school firing a coach who is well respected and supported by her peers, and others across the state, deserves the backlash it gets.... obviously everyone in the LA community isn't on board with this taking place.... pioneer42
Don’t know nothing about the coaching situation there now but know their history and tradition and hope their program gets back on track. I know they sent two or three really good GC teams home in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
MrMiyagi
I’m telling you, long money is behind this. Long money parents with non athletic kids can send a great coach packing. One could spend hundreds a week on speed/agility, ball handling tutors, shooting gurus, etc. but nothing can make a kid with 2 left feet and bad hands a good basketball player. They can be role players and you need these kids but ball players/athletes compete for titles and right now they don’t have the athletes.
