There were a couple times Marion Co didn't make the playoffs because they lost 1 game. Later it was changed to the top 2 teams and in 1990 we lost an emotional game to Seq Co 7-6 on a night that a lot of dads were being deployed to Iraq that weekend. Thankfully we qualified for the playoffs as the #2 team and steamrolled through the playoffs to win a state championship. (The 42-14 thumping of Alcoa was particularly fun lol). That being said sometimes teams get hot at the end of the year and if only the region/district champion would have advanced we would not have won that state title. I do believe it should only be the top 2 teams that qualify for the playoffs all the time though. Good post. I believe we are on the same page as to why do it etc. Teams that are having a "rebuilding" year so to speak. Graduation slot of starters the past year etc will really feel it the first few games. My own team isn't really rebuilding I just like the option of maybe beating Rockwood twice this year. Southtowner
I'd like to have access to Bradley's files on this classification session he's presenting. Good stuff. Einstein numbers. How can I get a packet? @iamoz

I have done my part since day one (even when people were calling it a flu and a hoax.) I have my doubts that we will see a full football season though. it is the flu. and it's less than the flu to kids. this is all teachers union driven. absurd to restrict sports or fans. this entire approach has been about control, not safety.

We are ripping the high school football season apart and turning it upside down over a virus that is very mild statistically to kids. masks outside is even more ludicrous. are they gonna have nannies and karens monitoring masks in the stands? what an ugly turn. and forrest is down and will be lucky to win 3 or 4 games. my views have nothing to do with that. in fact the fans of good teams should really be annoyed. this is gonna turn the season into a crapshoot. have 1 off game and be done for the postseason.
