I drove down to Alcoa last night from the Tri-cities, got to meet a lot of Tornadoes fans, you guys are good people.   Had a great time and watched a 3A team completely dismantle a 6A school.    I only have one question, besides Maryville is anybody going to have an offensive score against Alcoa this year?

We'll find out soon. Just wait til the defense has its best defensive player back! Plus #44 was limited on the defensive side of the ball. When he can it the defense was in kill mode!!

Well I hope we don’t lose to Open Date.

I'd rather have the game experience.  Especially since teams did not get any scrimmages in the spring and summer. It showed! Alcoa looked confused at times. The play the offense fumbled the ball for a Blackman score was prime example.  Got to get that worked out by playing a game speed! I'm glad Alcoa has ywo more game before Murvul!!:thumb:

Although both played well, I’d have to say #11 should be the go ahead QB. :thumb: I’m sure we will see a good mixture of both. A very nice problem to have...

Agreed. Both guys have their own good qualities. 11 does show some mobility. 4 reminds me of last years AE quarterback. Could actually be a linebacker.

I agree. I would much rather play week two but it is what it is.

I have never seen a HS defense play as complete at every position as Alcoa did last night.
