Gordonsville @ Smith County

Gordy is better than Smith County but both of these teams are very average. Not much speed on field. Gordonsville has a good back but they have no passing game whatsoever. Smith county got blown out by macon county last week who just barely beat Westmoreland by a score last night according to unapproved website. Still early in year.

Don't think they would be what you would call loaded. A very good team and a tram not so good.

It’s looks that way to me as well. I thought they would be a little down after losing their entire line but they have some good looking replacements. What numbers are the kids that came from Smith County?

I agree, didnt they only lose to Watertown by 7 pts? Watertown is ranked high in 2A

Gordonsville has had the ball practically the whole 4th quarter.  Grinding it out.

Last time Gordonsville shut out Smith County was 1995.

In my opinion its Gordonsville playing host to Clay County on September 18 and that game will most likely determine who will host the quarterfinals.  I know there's a lot of football between now and then,  well,  let's hope and pray there's a lot of football between now and then and I'll leave it at that.

But that's the way I see this region shaking out.

Good job by Gordonsville  controlling the clock in the 4th with a lot of young players in. Could have easily been 35 or 42-0.
