Evidently Clemons told Murray that he'd be willing to change, but Murray wasn't willing.

There also is a home jr. high game at Carthage Thursday.

You know the coach at Carthage thinks they can win the game in the monsoon. I believe Gville and Holt run it down their throat and make them like it and possibly run it up a tad bit. Holt is a player and earned my respect watching him last week. He got popped a couple times and he kept on coming back for me. He is a tough kid with good vision, moves, power, and speed.

This has got to be the most boring Gordonsville-Carthage thread I have ever seen. 

Evidently, when the football team is down, so is everyone else.

Either way, I'm changing my prediction to 33-7, the good guys in blue and white.

Gotta wish our friend and former staffer Coach Barnhart and the owls good luck in this one. He’s a great coach and person and he is missed on The Reservation.

Croz, how have crowds been in recent years for this game? I know about 15 years ago when i went to my 1st gordonsville vs carthage game it was electric. Still the same or has it died off?

It has died off. I put a video clip on facebook of the game winning touchdown in 98, and you can see the difference in the crowds. It's nothing like it used to be, however, they're are still decent size crowds.

Just found out that the game has been moved to Saturday at 6.

Crowds and excitement seems to have dropped off some lately. I not sure but I don't think the Coach or q-back club ( if they still have one) create the excitement that was there in SC before. This year the  excitement and fans will be hard to judge due to limits on attendance and the SC showing last week.

But we'll see......I know moving the game to Sat. will certainly help the gate..

What is the typical attendance numbers? I wonder if we'll reach the limit of 1500.
