I could see that. Either way it goes it may be close

Or it could be a blowout in either teams favor. You know how games can go when teams are pretty close. MC was probably a touchdown better that Springfield last year.

MC looked good up here last season. Jackets didn’t look like they showed up.

Jackets have a speedy pass rush and  if the secondary can cover for 2 or 3 seconds it would be better. But MC will also make quick throws so the Jackets be ready to come up and stick em.

Seems like their was a DL for MC last season that just dominated the trenches and Jackets had no answer to blocking him. Is he back?

Yup turnovers can make that happen and quickly, the Springfield defense has been very good at forcing turnovers, not sure what the the numbers are but I bet the differential is crazy in our favor...

NO he is not, I checked on that already as I have watched all but one of their games on NHFS, they are still decent on the D-line but they do not have anyone as imposing as #80 (I believe that is right) from last year. Having said that, they do have a soph D-lineman (#33) has good size and moves very well, he could potentially be even better than #80 was in a couple years. AND yeah they kind of use him as a TE/WR type on offense, yeah he has good speed for his size, he will create some matchup problems.....

Good. That dude was an absolute beast. We will see how the LBs cover TEs and slots.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
