Prayers for Meigs County

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.“.
when tragedy happens you see the true character of people. You also realize that what some want to do to our country would stop these great gestures of prayer. I can’t fathom how I would, or many others would endure these hardships if these outpourings of love were silenced and our religious gatherings were ceased. My heart is heavy but my spirit has been uplifted knowing there is a tomorrow for us all if we believe. Thank you TN for being a praying state led by tremendous men and women.

The news said bus driver and one student died at the scene. I'm wondering if one happened at the hospital or maybe on the way.

Prayers for your guys. Football means nothing in the grand scheme of things. I pray that ultimately God gets all the glory from this horrible situation and many will find his peace from it. God bless this entire community.

Prayers from your friends at Tyner.  Praying for all bus drivers this morning.  An often thankless job and many making that run this morning with a fearful or heavy heart.  May God protect our bus drivers and their precious cargo.

Heartbreaking news.  My family and I are praying with heavy hearts.  Just know that the Good Lord above is Love.  And Love bears all.  He is the only one that can heal our brokenness.  Hug your loved ones everyday.  Especially these small ones.  For they are precious in the sight of Almighty God.  I'm lifting this community up.  Everyone that this story touches, I'm lifting you up in prayer.  May God bring comfort, understanding and healing during these troublesome times. In Jesus' name . AMEN.

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
