I am laughing about this loss actually. Overrated Powell as usual. Their QB has a tendency to completely rely on his WRs Athleticism vs actually being accurate. Bought time. Game over. Bye bye.

Powell has been really inconsistent since about mid season on.  They are still very explosive offensively, but most inconsistent on the defensive side of the ball.  Opposing defenses have a book on the young sophomore QB, now, and are bringing more pressure.  The kid is an awesome talent, but he's still a young QB.  His upside is that he can pull it down and get yards.  

All of that said, I believe Powell will score points this week.  Walker Valley gave up points against the aforementioned two teams that they lost close games to, and I have seen those two teams quite a bit on video.  Powell's offense is every bit as good as those two teams, if not better, from what I observe.  

Powell is going to score unless they pull a turnover fest like they did in the first half at Oak Ridge.  I'd be surprised if they don't win by a couple of scores.  

Both of those games they had impact players out due to contact tracing. Not making excuses.... just clarifying.

This is gonna be tough on Powell. With a a Swiss cheese defense, they’re gonna have to score a lot I’d imagine. Gotta be tough on a young qb

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
