This is a pretty interesting match up Walker Valley and Coach Akin is doing something that has not been done at Walker Valley in a while. I could see this game being a shootout. WV has a very good offense but so does Powell. Both teams have a pretty serviceable defense. Plus being at Walker Valley gives WV some benefit too. This game has a lot of potential

I am laughing about this loss actually. Overrated Powell as usual. Their QB has a tendency to completely rely on his WRs Athleticism vs actually being accurate. Bought time. Game over. Bye bye.

Just glad Powell gets to play someone outside Knoxville, cause region 3 5a is a brutal league.  Probably the best league in the state regardless of class.  So it will be interesting to see how they match up with another mid state team.

Have you seen WV play? They said on the radio that they have scored the most points in the region and have allowed fewest points allowed as well.  They are legit and have a ton of speed and have yet to see a team hit harder then them. Powell is definitely a tough draw for a 2 seed, but it will be a great game IMO and have watched film on both.

It’s definitely not tougher. Walker Valley knows the challenge they have in front of them. I’m not sure Powell does though.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
