My Thoughts on the new regions:

Class 3A

Biggest winner:

Giles County

East Nashville

Fairview

Don’t see Fairview being the biggest winner with Waverly moving into their Region. Waverly is stacked and will return 9 starters on offense and 10 on defense.

Polk, and Tellico traded for Cumberland Gap and Wartburg. Oneida and Rockwood traded for Tyner, Bledsoe, and Marion.  I believe we made out about the same really. We already played Polk as a non region game before.

But unlike this year, you will actually have some tough playoff games before the semis. Even if you won the region next year, instead of playing Watertown/Trousdale in the semi, you would get one of them round two, and the other round three.

I think he's referencing Pearl Cohn being gone from quad 3 now. Trust me we're all winners because of that.

Waverly will be the favorite in that proposed region for sure next year.

I added them because their ability to reach the semi-final with Pearl Cohn gone got easier.   That was it.

Like I said, "my thoughts".    I don't expect everyone to agree....lol

That pick was based more on the path to the semi-finals being tougher now that you have to go thru TC and Watertown to get there.

In the past that WAS your semi-final game.

Yeah I also believe that’s going to be a more competitive region the next couple of years.

Gotcha, that means their road got rougher too lol. I will prefer those type games though.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
