Tried ta give ya props.....my crystal ball did not think the rebel defense would give up 28 points after Alcoa went to Kingsport and rolled a defensive team shutout?:-o

BCsportsfan the same D that gave up 13 and led by one against G-P at halftime ?

Yup! The ones that had to wear down GP and 7 zebras!

Nothing better to wake up a team sleep walking thru playoffs to get a tight game and have to respond! 13-14 halftime score with GP getting the ball first the second half. Then a multitude of F5 Tonadoes touchdown and blowout the opponents 35-0 and let the second time play the 4 qtr...alls good!:thumb:

Murvul was up 28-14 at half.....did them indians get the best of you'ens the second half?!

Alcoa was just finding a way to make things interesting, they didnt want a running clock to start the 2nd half, they are getting the players accustomed to playing more than 1 qtr, but honestly still prob won't need it in these next 2 games. Red Bank may be the 2nd best team in 3a but still 35 points behind Alcoa

That’s not even a good troll. You can do better than that BC. Don’t disappoint us.

Nah, they came out flat and a bunch of holding penalties made for an interesting half time score!

When you can turn it back around and hit ya between the eyes based on the exact same subject material is classic!......but it may sometimes be over your head!:thumb:

It be like that sometimes BC, but players can only play, coaches can only coach, and sometimes Zebras interfere somewhere along the lines

Alcoa seems to have a game like that in the playoffs.  Its good to have to dig deep and get fired up! That exactly what they did the second half. 35-0 run in a qtr and a half. Total destruction!:thumb:

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
