I have a friend that was there, he said it wasn’t good what the guy told the kid lol. Stuff like that bites ya because after that Lake County laid a whooping on the boys

Yea when Willis went out it hurt Greenback bad but Lake County was clearly the better team. It’s weird how the matchups are cause I think South Pittsburgh would have gave them a better game.

Agree 100 percent, matchups are always a strange thing,McKenzie barely beat a UC team we destroyed twice , case In point ! No two games would be the same !

Did McKenzie have a lot of Covid issues? Don’t know how they struggled so bad with Union City, Obion, and Adamsville

Union city and obion run the same offense mckenzie has never been able to defend it well .  The qbs hand had a cast on it against adamsville and he was having bad trouble throwing and handling the snaps.  If there was covid issues it wasn’t talked about.  I went to watch the Union city and obion games on nfhs and they were deleted

No, it wouldn't have made a difference. So. Pitt was a running team and LC was best at run stopping. From what I saw of So. Pitt they wouldn't slowed the LC offense down. That was last year and it is a moot point.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
