Actually last year's Peabody was the best,if you remember everyone on the T said we would have a HUGE drop off this year,maybe we did,maybe we didn't ,no one said Waverly would be good ,but you are !

Lol we don’t have to prove anything by winning state this year. Whatever happens it’s been a great year with 12 wins. Waverly is the one that has to prove themselves against the tide. Js

Geeze y’all all got awfully defensive really quickly lol. “Fat boys” are lineman. Sorry to “offend” you or the players. SMH.

Well as good as Peabody has been with these blow out wins against a weak schedule, I figured your “large boys” (not the skinny ones) haven’t played many 4 quarter games since I’ve heard several of you say on threads y’all playing 2nds and JV in 3rd and 4ths.

Yall soft on them feelings this Sunday morning huh?

@vandyfan1 Waverlys offense will depend heavily on how the adjust to the Tide D ends and lb's ,I don't know they have seen the speed and brut strength that will be brought by Baskerville Jones And Vaughn,I expect Boldin is already deep into planning the game plan to stop those beasts ! Have the Tigers faced athletes similar? For my Tide it's going to be disrupting the Wavo QB ,he reads quick and our aggression can hurt us in that case !

We sub a lot of players as well. Helps to have 60 to 65 on the roster. We tend to wear down other teams. I really think that is how we got McKenzie at the end.

Regardless of what they say about strength of schedule we have played a tougher schedule. 3 4a teams and 2 3a teams. They may not have as many wins as some of the teams y’all have played but liberty Milan and southside were better than some of y’alls opponents. 
 

They usually only substitute few players at a time. I’ve only seen whole squads swapped couple times.  We don’t start anyone both ways. Does waverly start players both ways ?

Wishful thinking friend,our D is lights out,you say our schedule is soft but if we are being honest half of our schedule would have given you guys heart attacks games ! Come on man you know what this line is it's the same line that all praised and said won state ! They didn't get slow from getting a year older ! I in no way am gonna predict a blow out ,close game imo,Tide has more talent but Waverly doesn't quit,are very fundamentally sound as well,I use the mindset of 2018, unpopular opinion but Wavelry had more talent in the semis than us and we all know that result. We will be ready for a junk yard brawl !!!!

Man, sounds like y’all got it going on. Waverly should just go ahead and forfeit. Waverly is a bunch of peasants compared to yall.

If that's all you got from my post ,I think you might be tipsy ! This game doesn't need a bit of fluff imo so I will call it like I see it early prediction Peabody 28 Waverly 24 in a game that's not settled till 00:00.  I'm not usually wrong,but have been according to my wife ! Y'all just come early so we can all fellowship before the game,I might make it trying to push back leaving to Orlando till after the game !

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
