Peabody/Meigs who wins and why

Just read some stats on a preview of Saturday’s game.

Khalik Ganaway, RB: 209 Carries, 1,582 Yards, 21 TDs

Will Meadows, RB: 198 Carries, 1,780 Yards, 31 TDs
pretty impressive the stats put up by Meadows especially considering he’s done it in 3 less games. (Sat out because of Covid week 1 and 2 Covid wins). Don’t know how many games Peabody had missed. Finalist vs finalist.

It’s called adjustments by excellent coaches. Meigs didn’t come out “cold” they just got they butts whooped!

You can call it that. It was still a one score game until we gave Peabody the ball and that last score by having to go for it on 4th down inside our on ten.

Even with that last touchdown we still held that mighty Peabody offense to its lowest point total of the season.

TC made adjustments just as you guys did and we didn't.

Meigs has to play 4 quarters, take no plays off and make adjustments throughout the game if they want to compete with Peabody Saturday.

Peabody is the defending champions and heavily favored. I am counting on our Tigers to step up and come out and give it their all. If they do that and can force some turnovers we might just stand a chance against the mighty Tide.

Look who is talking. I think if you look at the win/loss record of teams played

Meigs opponents 71 wins 56 losses

Peabody. 47 wins 67 losses

Meigs did have 2 covid wins.

Milan and Mckenzie. I will give you that.

Meigs played some pretty good ball teams.

South Pitt. Hampton, Oneida, Rockwood, South Greene.

We didn't play a lot of those west TN cupcakes like you guys (Halls,Liberty,Obion,Gibson,Jackson SS, UC twice)

Your delusional

Ganaway is well deserving of Mr. Football just as our guy.

We will not downgrade him or say he can't get 30 yards on a good D or is going to have his lowest rushing yards next week.

Our guys will do their best to make him earn every yard he gets. They know it just takes one missed tackle and he can take it to the house.

We respect Peabody and what they have accomplished

Meigs strength of schedule was 32nd of 39 teams in 2A. Peabody was 36th of 39. Rankings per CoachT strength of schedule rankings. Strength + success in 2A meigs was 1 and Peabody 2.
