Just looked at two weather apps.  Looks like rain will end in the morning. 1/4 inch of rain.  So looks like no rain for game. Referring to Saturday game

Yeah, Saturday gonna be cool compared to last years game. But still decent football weather.

Final prediction for Peabody vs Meigs County.  TBH None of us know.  So many factors with turnovers being the possible difference.
Kicking game advantage Peabody, offensive and defensive lines even, power running advantage Meigs, speed in skilled players advantage Peabody, ( so it’s power vs agility). Meigs is going to play Meigs football and come right at Peabody. IMO it’s a sophomore QB vs a senior QB.  That could be the difference.

Our qb is a Junior. Only plays like a senior.:thumb:

Going point at the end, i believe he’s a junior though, but still it’ll be which ever QB can manage the game the best

We can run power just haven’t had to much. It’s there it may be unleashed in this game. Their running back isn’t better than ours. He just has more carries

Just read some stats on a preview of Saturday’s game.

Khalik Ganaway, RB: 209 Carries, 1,582 Yards, 21 TDs

Will Meadows, RB: 198 Carries, 1,780 Yards, 31 TDs
pretty impressive the stats put up by Meadows especially considering he’s done it in 3 less games. (Sat out because of Covid week 1 and 2 Covid wins). Don’t know how many games Peabody had missed. Finalist vs finalist.

@Tide21 I respect your opinion thinking that your rb is better than ours but Ganaway has more carries according to factual stats.
According to the real, factual statistics, Meadows is averaging 8.9 yards per carry, and Ganaway is averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Peabody fans will think Ganaway is better and Meigs fans will think Meadows is better. That’s how it should be. BUT Ganaway has more carries.
See stats above provided earlier in the week.

I got to watch trousdale SP Oneida Hampton. I think ours is a better thrower where your qb is a better runner but we just haven’t ran out qb no need to. He can run though.

From what video I saw of your qb he is pretty good. The teams you saw us play against ended up 10-2 and 14-0 respectively. Oneida was something like 4-5 or something like that but has a traditionally good defense year in and year out. Not sure what teams you have played would compare respectively. At best guess maybe Oneida compares to Union City... just a guess not sure.

I wasn’t talking about ganaway.  I was talking about Vaughn. He only has like 400 yards. Just like last year we didn’t use dickson  we haven’t used Vaughn this year. I don’t think he had 7-800 yards last year.  I think meadows is good but I think the line blocking has allowed him to be even better. You guys have faced big teams and fast teams but not really a combination of both and Peabody has both.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
