The PowerP 2a boy's have always been one of my favorite teams to watch, and of course Meigs being close to home and I always love for the home teams to win. Whoever wins it will not disappoint me. This is truly one of those games I just hope both teams play to there best God given ability and hopefully this will be a game for the ages people will talk about for years to come. I'd say a TD or maybe XP may decide this game. Good luck.

To be the man you got to beat the man. I think Meigs can do it this year but it’s going to be close real close. Peabody a great team and will be a force in 1A next year, picking for the state championship next year too. Meigs 27.      Peabody 21

In yesterday's Athens newspaper about the upcoming game, there was a funny exchange between the coaches about the upcoming game:

While both teams have lost their top players from last year, both have simply reloaded. While Fitzgerald is glad Peabody doesn’t have Dickson this year, Peabody is pleased not to see former Meigs quarterback Aaron Swafford.
“Yes, I’m happy they don’t have Dickson, but their coach asked me (jokingly) if we are going to bring back Swafford,” Fitzgerald said. “I think both of us are happy.”

Just looked at two weather apps.  Looks like rain will end in the morning. 1/4 inch of rain.  So looks like no rain for game. Referring to Saturday game
