To my knowledge only 1 and that was at 160lb against Bradley County. Whose spot is he going to take after only wrestling in one dual match this season for Cleveland High School? Before this get's started understand that I really like Cody and the way that he competes and represents Tennessee. However, I have a difficult time understanding how this would be allowed to happen. I would say that if Cody is on anybody’s team, wrestling for a state championship they would allow it to happen lol Edited February 3, 2021 by fooseball95

I think him coming to Cleveland is a win for him, as they have an agreement that allows him to represent his skill set around the country, but also help Cleveland’s program this year. Cleveland is that good, that they will still win with him not in the line-up so they have more of a flexibility than almost anyone else. This also gets people in that practice room the ability to compete with him which helps their program. I hope he wrestles this weekend to give others in Tennessee this ability to compete with him.

I was just answering I appreciate that! I think what Cleveland wants to accomplish and what Cody wants to accomplish, this was a perfect match. I am glad they are allowing him to compete on additional stages outside the Cleveland schedule. Good for all people involved to help grow their program by adding this great talent, but also helping him grow as well.

Still not any legitimate proof, I do say that Belcher wins the match, but you are right probably not by tech or even major decision. I think they both wrestled Trae McDaniel as well. Trae pinned Belcher in the 1st and I think pinned Riley late - but honestly cannot remember. I believe he was toying with them both however. That said, I agree Luke wins. Actually now that I think about it.. let me edit this.. they may have him weigh in at 47.2 so he can go 52/60 for the dual team so I’m not sure. Did you ever hear what weight he was going at this weekend? Doesn't Laxton usually go 52?
oceansize42
Assuming Laxton wrestles 52 then the only matches DB can, keyword can, win are 32 with Watkins, 52 with Hurst, and 170 with Clint. If Laxton vs Hurst happens then I'll take Hurst by decistion. 32 is a toss up in my opinion. If DB can bump up Tre and Clint to 170 and 182 (if Chittum is at 160) then they should win those as well. I never asked because I don’t want to know but even though Cleveland is a heavy favorite this weekend, I’m sure Knox and the rest of the Cleveland Brain trust have run the numbers on every possible match up against every possible team they will face. Just looking at it myself I don’t think it matters if they put Cody at 45 or 60 against DB as it ends up being a wash. But, against WC I think it benefits Cleveland to put him at 45 so my guess is they will have him weigh in at 45 so he can go 45 or 52. But, that’s just a my uneducated guess. 1 1
dontstopbelieving
They have declared him at 145 on track... I'm not sure if the rule applies with it only being a one day tournament but in years past if you did not make the weight class you were declared for at the duals you were not allowed to compete.
