I agree. There is a reason the Westview’s, Gibson County’s, Summertown’s, Loretto’s, Macon County’s, Clarkrange’s, McMinn Central’s, Upperman’s, South Green’s, Bradley Central’s and Riverdale’s of the world are always in the mix. They have great feeder programs and cultures. And the communities and businesses will help aggressive coaches generate revenues for booster clubs. And most parents will too. Especially South Gibson. Look at what Peabody football has done. They had zero Gold Balls until 2014. Made great hires and they have won 4 in the last 7 years. Tim Haney and the Peabody administration gets an A + for making great hires.

success is attractive for sure. when you win they will come.

South Gibson hadn’t been that successful but I still think it is an attractive job. Hire a coach that will play basketball year round and teach quality fundamentals at a young age. There will be some that will play other sports but they will either catch up or miss the bus. More games they play the more bodies that get their chance as well and creates competition and more effort.

Heard they called Kayla Hudson. Don’t know if she interviewed. Think she did but don’t know. Jana Kahler, the middle school coach has applied and interviewed. Who knows??

No clue. Has seemed quiet. Would have to think they'd hire someone soon. Position has been open a while.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
