I played against him back in the day. He was tough as nails but always friendly after he whipped your tail. Hopefully he'll get hired ASAP and the Pirates can continue their success. Lord knows they've worked at it all these years.

I'm not sure any other candidates have the resume he has. So yes I would hope so too.

If they don’t hire Jonesy they are a complete moron and should be flogged and neutered. This should be an easy decision.

I agree!   For those that don't think he should get it I would love to hear a logical reason why.

Whoever makes the hire will be the laughing stock of the state if they don’t hire the hometown guy that by the way coached professionally.

I agree 100%. I wish he would go somewhere else but he wants to be there and they would be crazy not to hire him

We’re not what we were even 10-12 years ago. Probably wouldn’t be much of a game now.
