If NG plays man the entire game against Clay County like they did against Richland.... I like  Clay County to continue on to Saturday! 

Clay will do just enough to limit Schultz’s touches. However NG cannot stop the best player in Class A in Strong. Clay wins 55-42

If NG plays man the entire game against Clay County like they did against Richland.... I like  Clay County to continue on to Saturday! 

Should be a fun game to watch. I bet NG mixes it up on defense. I’m sure Playing against the Meredith kid from university and the Johnson kid from Cosby will help them decide what they want to do. However, Clay co is very well coached and scrappy. Can’t wait!

Strong is better than both. Johnson kid has nice skills but not on the level of Strong. But NG has the big German who will be a tough matchup for Clay. Should be a dandy!

They seemed to do a good a good job today of defending Peggs of Madison Magnet. Even though he had 15 points and a Mr. Basketball finalist.

So of the 3 finalists peggs had 15, Cosby kid held to 14, and Strong had 32pts and 14rebs?  Seems pretty clear to me who the Mr Basketball is. Lol. Oh and clay won and the other 2 lost. Numbers are one thing but “W’s” are what makes the difference to me.

Yeah it was clear today who the best player in Class A is.  Strong and Pegues went head to head on the floor and there was no question who the best player on the floor was.  Cosby was beaten and the Johnson kid was held to 14 points by a team Clay County has beaten 4 times already this year.  So let’s put the Mr Basketball discussion to bed. It’s over.

Look for full court pressure from the time they enter the arena. Clay is not going to sit back and let them lob it into the big German. I predict Strong gets 4 breakaway dunks tomorrow.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
