2A Region 5 Preview

Summertown has locked up a playoff berth with 2 region games left. They now hold the tie break over both Loretto and Richland. Only have Cascade and Mt Pleasant left in region games. Even with a loss to Mt Pleasant, they would still be the 4th seed based on the tie breaks over RHS and LHS. Eagles win the Pegasus Cup 19-0.

Congrats to the Eagles for punching their playoff ticket. Hard to predict how this group will play from week to week but they are talented.

Leave it to Richland and Mt Pleasant to throw a wrinkle into the playoff chase...Richland is putting it on Mt Pleasant pretty good tonight. Last update I heard was 35-0

Richland finishes it off 42-0. That leaves both Richland and Mt Pleasant with 1 region win each. Loretto has Richland and Cascade left. Summertown has 2 region wins already. Even if Richland beats Loretto, Summertown would be the 3 seed with a win over the Raiders. The only scenario that Summertown does not end up as the 3 seed is if Mt Pleasant were to beat them. Then it would be MtP as the 3 and Summertown as the 4. In no scenario can Richland or Loretto jump over Summertown. All of this is null and void if people start beating Cascade, which I do not expect to see.

Also worth noting....If Loretto can beat Richland, then Mt Pleasant, Richland, and Loretto would all have 1 win (presuming Stown beats MtP) and all three will have beaten each other. That would lead to a tie break for 4th. Anyone know what that process is? Would it be a three way flip or is there something else that would go first that would eliminate one team?

Forrest has risen to the top of the region. Cascade and Summertown have a showdown October 29th for the 2nd seed. Loretto is on playoff life support. Mt Pleasant had a collapse. Richland has turned their season around and is in the mix for a playoff spot.

Loretto, it should be illegal to predict their games they are so stinking awful
