I think discrediting Coach Dodgen at White County is a huge mistake. Don't forget what you were without him.

Or do, and go back to the bottom.

LA hasn't been the same since the first Cumberland loss. They made a very mediocre team look formidable tonight.

this time of year it comes down to coaching and Livingston Academy has more talented players than Lawrence County and more scoring but the scouting and the coaching catches up at some point and it showed in this region tonight in all four games.  the travel ball that all the Livingston academy players do together in the offseason does help them but I think if Lincoln county and page did not have to play each other in the semifinals they both would advance getting to play overmatched and out coached Upperman and Livingston Academy teams.

The bottom??? When was White at the bottom?

I have no problem with Dodgen myself....just the "bottom" comment.

I remember when Coach Dodgen was brought in at White. They were average on a good day. He made them formidable in the death region they were in. He's got those kids invested into playing ball at a more competitive level in the off-season. They were a top five team in the state at one point this year. That's a credit to him as well. Sure, the 90s were great. They were also 20+ years ago.

White hasn't been below. 500 in the District in 15+ years is all I'm saying.

Yeah these 2 coaches, who both have won gold balls, make a tendency of getting out coached in the post season like you seem to imply. Laughable. The LA game had nothing to do with being out coached.

I picked White County to win district and against Page, even though I questioned myself each time. I finally realized if you look good length, height in uniform doesn't mean anything.  White players just aren't polished skill wise , we all put them on a pedalstal that we shouldn't have. I don't think they were  underachieving. They finished about where thier talent level was. High school coaches can develop teams, they can't develop talent ,that is up to parents,players, aau,trainers etc.. Dodgen did what he could imo.

Agree 100%. Dodgen has always grated me the wrong way since the LA-Cannon battles. But the guy can coach and gets the most out what he has.

King21      You must be smoking something . Coach Haley did a good job and won several districts and the girls loved him . Don't be knocking people if you don't know what your talking about .
