If you remember the parking lot incident after the Crockett Co. game 3 years ago, you know we're not immune from unfortunate incidents.  I don't guess any of us are.

Do you have any thoughts concerning the Memphis Central - Cordova game this week?  I'd like to get some kind of info on the Wolves before they come to Haywood on the 27th.

I’m not sure. I do have friends in law enforcement in Memphis that may work the game, i can ask around

After seeing Haywood and NS at the Jamboree and Milan Friday, my pick for this region has to be the Brownsville boys. I haven't seen South Gibson but you can't count them out.

Yea I would not count out South Gibson. Nobody seems to be talking about them and they don’t seem to have that star player but they continue to just win games.

South Gibson looked good and dominate against Lexington they won 24-21, but didn’t score in the second half

Yeah I heard about that. I picked Lexington in that one but they were breaking in 3 or 4 on the o line and a new QB. I'm sure they had plenty of mistakes in the first half but sounds like they got a lot of it cleaned up. What really surprised me in 4A was Hardin County I figured they'd be down a bit after all they lost but they took it to NS.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
