WEEK 1: Powell vs Anderson County

Powell's defense has been on the field for just about the entire 1st qtr. Dream start for AC.

AC leads midway through the 2nd, 28-21. No defense being played. Tons on penalties. Powell's two fumbles are the difference so far.

Looks like Powell has some good athletes but overall they play very sloppy

Can’t believe how mediocre Powell’s defense looks. Credit to AC though, that offense is something. I would say I’m surprised at the lack of discipline from Powell, but I’m not. Maryville will hang 80 on Powell if this team shows up next week. AC is on their way themselves.

Agreed. Zero discipline. AC has been able to get anything they want in the passing game. Heck, both teams have.

35-28 AC at the half. Powell gets the ball to start the second half.

It’s obviously gonna come down to whoever can make the correct adjustments on the defensive side of the ball. Like you said, neither team has anything to offer on the defensive side of the ball.

This game feels a lot like last year's. And the year before. It'll be interesting to see how both pass defenses adjust.

Mavs punt it back after a couple of offensive holding calls. Panthers tie it on an 87-yard TD pass from Potts to Collins.
