Is Cornersville that down this year or is Fville that good this year?

City and Peabody should end up being the last two standing on that side of the bracket. Cornersville got exposed by Clay county’s speed and a backup freshman QB.  Fayetteville has many more options than CLay and Cornersville combined! But I believe Varo is right 32 sounds better than 40.

I can’t believe some of you folks are not even considering McKenzie! I’m absolutely mind boggled. I don’t see Fville getting past them!

The Fayetteville people don’t know anything about mckenzie.  There was one poster that didn’t even know they were in 1a and then asked me if we played them last year

McKenzie was the second best 2A team in the state last year and had Peabody on the walking plank late in the 4th very late I might add. They returned a ton of players. You would think some posters would educate themselves before posting. Maybe they are educated on McKenzie and think they don’t have anything! Who knows? Boy are they in for a rude awakening :popcorneater:

28-12 FV.

CV has some athletes and is physical. They will hang around.

As the great Lee Corso would say, " this one will be closer than the experts think." They seem to get home cooking a lot over there on friday nights. That being said yes Cornersville is physical but can they score enough points they seem to struggle in that part of the game this year. Clay co went there and took care of business and Fayetteville is head and heels better than Clay co. It still wouldnt be a suprise to see Fayetteville pulling away in this one with the athletes that have across the board

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
