Hopefully this will give anyone battling any kind of injury time to heal up. Like our big defensive tackle that played hurt Friday night. I just want to get the win get the young kids some action since they didn't get to play Friday. And get out of Seymour with a win. Got to get ready for oak Ridge the next week. I still believe oak ridge is a good team. And can make us Play 4 quarter's if they get their stuff together. This will be my first game at Seymour looking forward to it. Go Devil's

Yep,get through the game safe and get ready for Oak Ridge ( one of only three high school football teams ) that's been voted Nation Champions from the state of Tennessee. Also, they made a very nice playoff run  last year, so as I've posted multiple times, you never overlook  teams like OR or DB ,ever. That said,I never overlook anyone, even if this post seems to.Take care of first things first .

I am curious as to why there is such a love affair with Oak Ridge.    In the past yes, they have been unbeatable.   But this year....   The Ridgers have these 4 games back to back with no breaks:    Powell, Greeneville, Karns, Dobyns Bennett.          I don't think OR wins any of those games.          So what is it, do they have a lot of D1 players coming back this week or something?             This is not a post to bash OR, I'm sure they could beat the daylights out of my team, I'm just wondering why Greeneville fans would show any concern about that game

They have D1 athletes in Kendall Jackson (3star and 18 offers), Jai Hundley, and Brandon Heyward (Sophomore with 7 D1 offers already).  The biggest weakness has been line play to get them open in Space.  Their three losses have came against SD, Bearden, and Farragut and never been beaten by more than a TD.  They are also coming off a State Runner up in 5a last year so it could be just putting it together.  Don't count them out just yet blazer

thanks man, that explains a lot.... and you are so right about putting all the pieces together, amazing how sometimes good teams struggle with that concept

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
