I want to apologize for getting bent out of shape on here last night. Lots of things going on personally and emotions running a little higher than normal this week.

Springfield fans, I want yall to know I dont mean to come across so hateful and degrading towards your program in any way. I have to do better as a person and I will. We could definitely have our work cut out for us if yall bring your A game (which I fully expect)

Henry County fans, I apologize to every single one of yall for being a douche bag. I want to encourage anybody else on here that comes at opposing teams like I did to try to watch what you say and let's all have the utmost respect for every single program we go up against whether we are favored by 50 or the underdog by 50. We are a very proud program and I will be the first to admit I can be arrogant at times. I hope both sides accept my apology and we can move forward.

Accepted! I hope whatever you going through gets better!

You know what....I haven’t seen another thread on our region brethren matchups so I will make predictions.....who cares right?

3-3 (2-0) Portland @ 2-4 (0-2) Kenwood

28-21 Portland

1-5 (0-2) NW  @ 1-5 (0-2) NE

40-13 NE

So it looks like the winner of the Kenwood/Portland Game for 4th place in the Region?

Does anyone from HC know why they moved the scoreboard to the south end zone?

It was in the south end zone for years even when I played back in the 90’s & before that. When we got the new one they put it in the north end zone. I’m sure olddevil can give more input and correct me if I’m wrong.

Yep and trip to Memphis central first round for a consolation prize

Portlan should be 3rd. 1st and 2nd will be hc and Springfield depending on tonight. And with Portland beating  NE. and they should definitely beat kenwood would put them 3rd and NE 4th unless I’m missing something. Which I could be no doubt

I think they put it in the north end zone because the old one hadn't been removed yet. I wanna say it sat unused for a year or two before they finally took it out.

I could be misremembering.

    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
