Week 8 Beech @ Springfield

I’m going to be brutally honest about Springfield's offense, because I’ve been consistent all year in my opinions. If we don’t open up the play book a little more and try to score a few more points it’s going to be a long game against Beech. We’ve got the horses why not let them run a little bit against a really good non-region opponent. By no means when I say run do I think we’ll run over Beech, it’s just a figure of speech. The defense is playing lights out, but you can’t put it on their backs every game. I know the old saying defense wins championships, but scoring points wins games.

What happened to Beech this year? I was hoping that they would be able to repeat some of the success they had last year. I was able to watch the Quarterfinal game last year vs Summit when I was visiting my sister in Franklin. I believe it was a nail-biter, like a one score game. I followed the first game this year vs Farragut but knew that wouldn't be a great litmus test for the season. Any Buc fans can give me some insight??

Doesnt make sense about the ranking.

The Tennessean has My Juliet ranked ahead of Stato Camp in their 5A poll even though Station Camp beat them head to head

    • Same with Eisfelder from Providence not even getting a look in DII 1A.   But to me the biggest head scratcher is Collins from Lookout Valley. He wasn't even voted the best pitcher or player on his own team, a team that lost like 20 baseball games. Mind blowing.
    • Whispers abound suggesting that Robbie Atwood has been observed surreptitiously shadowing the erstwhile football coach on numerous occasions. Does such conduct align with the standards of acceptability?
    • Is it conceivable that BJ West will maintain his ardor if it necessitates forgoing attendance at his progeny's culminating year of scholastic endeavors? Such a scenario appears implausible upon closer scrutiny.
    • Wartburg heading to state for the first time in school history. Braylen Melton (sophomore) threw a 1 hitter today against North Greene.
    • I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.
